I am greatly moved and grateful to all those who extended their support in enriching this journey. Suchetana is trying to make the socio-economically backward women establish through different activities for restoring their basic human rights. In this connection, I tender my deepest gratitude and express my heartiest thanks for the services provided by Central and State Govt., our partner organization, NABARD, Media, Journalist, our rural SHG members, colleagues, District administration, District & Sub-divisional Police administration, members of Zilla Parishad, Panchayet Samity, Birbhum District.

At present we are working at Bolpur-Sriniketan Block and Illambazar Block. Although communication system has developed to some extent, a few villages within the radius of about 15 kms. centering Bolpur – Santiniketan are still lacking in accessible streets and roads. To reach those places one has to walk down for 6-7 kms in muddy streets through the fields. Almost 20 odd villages of this kind belong to Sattor and Bilati-Sultanpur G.P. The inaccessibility of these places hinders the women from taking part in any training camps. We have, therefore, chosen a village in the middle of the cluster of villages, where we want to set up a ‘Training Institute’ to provide these backward women with adequate training & to help in the marketing of their products. In those areas there are some tribal belts. We also work for these tribal community & conduct agricultural training and technical training too. We make sure that we also take proper care for their ecucation. Moreover, we have a plan to spread women- education and adult-education in those places. Although we have got necessary land for our training institute, we are yet to purchase the necessary instruments and equipments for conducting the camps and setting up the institute. Any pecuniary help from any corner of the society is earnestly solicited to make our noble mission successful.
